Sterling Silver Ribbon Rings

FAQ

Your questions, answered!

Metals

We incorporate high quality metals in our pieces. We use sterling silver, a bright, incredibly durable, lightweight and versatile metal perfect for everyday wear. We also create jewelry in solid 14K gold preferred for its appearance and durability. Sometimes we incorporate gold fill elements into our pieces which are solid thick layers of gold pressure bonded on the outside of another metal. We do not offer plated jewelry simply because it wears off quickly with time.

Jewelry Care

Your fine jewerly should be stored in a dry, airtight container while not in use to prevent tarnish. I prefer using 1" tiny ziplock bags for small earrings, rings and dainty necklaces. You can lock the clasp and a couple inches of the chain in the zip lock to prevent your chains from tangling. If you find that your chain is tangled you can easily get complicated looking knots out using sewing pins. Stick the ends of two pins in different links and gently pull until you have untangled the knot. Jewelry needs to be polished regularly and we recommend Sunshine Polishing Cloths.

Gemstones & Diamonds

I pride myself on sourcing only the highest quality diamonds and most unique and beautiful natural colored gemstones. Care is taken to provide GIA graded diamonds from reputable vendors. I enjoy discovering and celebrating nature's art creations and finding lesser known uncommon gemstones such as super seven cacoxenite amethyst - a naturally occurring gemstone comprised of seven different minerals in one - and bicolor tourmalines.

How is our jewelry made?

Most of our jewelry is handcrafted on a bench using gold and silver wire using traditional metalsmithing techniques. I also like to incorporate computer aided design to custom create some pieces myself. These are 3D printed and casted, then finished on a bench myself. More intricate settings and diamonds are all set by hand in the USA by my boyfriend, a bench jeweler with over 25 years of experience setting diamonds.
